Our story
Why we started Professional Papers
The original team met as PhD researchers at three different UK universities. Between us we'd marked thousands of undergraduate essays, supervised dozens of Master's dissertations, and watched smart students lose marks for entirely fixable reasons, bad structure, poor referencing, no clear thesis, citing tertiary sources instead of primary literature.
The existing "essay mill" industry was part of the problem. Generic content, offshore writers with no feel for British academic voice, predatory pricing, vanishing customer support. We thought academic support could be done better, properly trained UK academics, a transparent platform, fair prices, real human conversation between student and writer.
Ten years on, we work with over 350 UK-educated writers, most with Master's degrees, more than 40% with PhDs, many actively teaching or researching at British universities.
